What does “water-based” actually mean?

It means water is the primary ingredient rather than petrolatum or wax. The practical difference: it rinses out with plain water in the shower. Oil-based pomades need repeated shampooing and tend to leave buildup.

How much hold does Clásico have?

Medium — enough to hold a side part, comb-back, or pompadour through a normal day. If you want something that locks a taller style in place, that’s what Estilo Pesado is for. It’s coming.

Will it flake?

Apply it to damp or towel-dried hair rather than bone-dry hair, and use less than you think you need. Flaking usually comes from too much product on dry hair.

How do I wash it out?

Warm water and your hands. Shampoo if you want, but you shouldn’t need it.

How long does a jar last?

A 4 oz jar used daily typically lasts most people 2–3 months, depending on hair length and how heavy-handed you are.

Does it have a scent?

How long until my order ships?

We make everything in small batches, so orders ship within 2–3 business days. You’ll get tracking as soon as the label is created.

Do you ship outside the US?

Not yet. We’re US-only for now.

Can I return it?

Unopened jars, within 30 days. Opened jars can’t be returned for hygiene reasons — but if a jar arrives damaged or wrong, email us and we’ll replace it. See our refund policy for the full detail.

I run a barbershop. Can I carry Estilo?

Yes. We offer wholesale pricing to California barbershops. Email contact@estilopomade.com and tell us about your shop.

Is it tested on animals?

No.
